Rate gives back with BBQ, Bourbon & Blues event
On June 23, Rate hosted its second annual BBQ, Bourbon & Blues fundraiser to raise money for families in need. It was a huge success, raising over $260,000! The event was hosted at Studio Paris Nightclub, and guests enjoyed open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres from Bub City, music performed by South of 80 and a live auction. Take a look at photos from the event!
This event wouldn’t have been possible without all of our sponsors. This year’s Gold Level sponsor was Radian, a mortgage insurance company. Other main sponsors included Write-Green, MGIC, Lending Tree, Evergreen Bank, Genworth Financial, Essent, DocMagic, National MI, Bank of Oklahoma, CBC Innovis/Data Verify and Absolute Value Management.
The Rate Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-for-profit created to impact the lives of employees, their families and their communities in times of need in a meaningful and positive way. The Foundation was founded in 2012, and has helped over 800 individuals who’ve experienced unforeseen hardships. Requests range from providing food, clothing and shelter following a natural disaster to assisting with housing, transportation and outstanding bills after a job loss or medical emergency.
Last year the Foundation gave over $250,000 in assistance to 199 individuals. Higher education is important to the Foundation. Last year we granted four scholarships to college students in recognition of their entrepreneurial and leadership qualities, each worth up to $40,000 per student. The Foundation is funded by Rate Inc., its employees and private sponsors.
