This summer Rate introduced the World’s First Digital Mortgage with the #OldWayBlownAway Giveaway on social media, and there were hundreds of submissions with crazy outdated technology. The winner received 3 free mortgage payments.

When Quinten Barney found out he won via Skype, he shared some news we weren’t expecting. Check out his reaction:

Quinten was thrilled to hear that he was the contest winner. His baby recently underwent heart surgery, and his family has a number of financial burdens. He couldn’t be more grateful to have his mortgage paid for 3 months.

Quinten’s winning contest entry was a throwback photo of electric watt-hour readers. His entry perfectly showed how far communication and technology has advanced over the years, and it was a perfect fit for bringing awareness to all of the innovations in the mortgage industry.

The company is psyched to have such a deserving family win the Old Way Blown Away Giveaway. Quinten ended up blowing everyone at Rate away instead!
