Shant Banosian, the # 1 Loan Officer in the U.S. for eight consecutive years, has closed more than 40,000 loans and funded over $10 billion in total loan volume. Recently appointed President of Rate, Shant knows that every experience during his 20-year career has prepared him to lead the largest retail mortgage company in the country.

He's been able to scale his business from $47 million in 2012 to over a billion dollars in a year, and then over $2 billion, without having worked any more hours, without burning out.

Outside of work, Shant is deeply involved in his community. He actively supports Boston Children’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, The Greater Boston Food Bank, and the Rate Foundation. These causes are close to his heart, and he believes in using his success to give back and create positive change.

When he’s not working, Shant enjoys spending time with his wife, three daughters, and their dog Sunny. Family is at the core of everything he does, and they spend much of their time at hockey rinks, turf fields, and cheering on Boston’s sports teams. His passion for fitness and dedication to staying in shape also plays a key role in maintaining a balanced, energized life.
